Most iPods come preformatted for PCs, including all current models sold at regular retail. The original G1 iPod, at least, was Mac-only, and if you buy from Apple.com or an Apple Store, you can buy a Mac-formatted iPod which can be reformatted for PCs. iPods that were pre-formatted for PCs cannot, however, be reformatted for Macs. Essentially, this means that even though iPods are made by Apple, they are much more PC-friendly in the current market as you cannot buy one that's even capable of Mac support without buying direct from Apple, and you cannot buy any current model that is not PC-capable.

Yes!!! Duh!! Not trying to be rude but nobody would by ipods if you needed Mac! I know ipods are Mac but they still work for PC too! I dont own an ipod myself but I know the answer to the question. I think in the case there should be 2 CD's one for PC and one for Mac.

Yes. iPods have been compatible with PCs for years! MP3s are MP3s it doesn't matter where they come from.
