Wow, these are my 2 favorite bands ever so it's hard to say. I think Metallica will always be around and I hope Slayer will keep going for years to come, always being true to their music. Unfortunately, since the Black album, Metallica has changed so much they're not even like the same band. If I had to say who'll quit first, I'd probably say Slayer.

These days...Slayer, Christ Illusion was a no hands barred thrash metal fare, st. anger was a boring laughable piece of utter $hit. Despite the fact I think Reign in Blood was the best thrash album ever made (followed by Master of Puppets by a hair) I think Metallica in the 80s was the best band of the 80s, their stunning growth from kill em all to ...and justice was amazing, and they pioneered thrash metal. So the answer is when are we talking about. Now surely Slayer, but back in the day probably Metallica, and I still think overall they're a slightly better band based on their amazing past perfomance

Are you heavily suggesting that Slayer is underground? I easily have been listening to Slayer simply by fact the overdue 1980's. they seem to be a procedures from underground. they have been on MTV, action picture soundtracks and have been coated in different mainstream courses. added greater, what does or no longer it particularly is counted if somebody is underground or no longer? in case you like some thing, you like some thing. Metallica remains greater helpful. the rationalization they have been given time-honored became simply by fact they have been a good band. that they had a great following earlier the Black album. I easily have seen the two bands a hundred's of circumstances. Metallica has consistently been the greater helpful of the two.

the difference is that slayers albums still are great and metallica has gotten weak. id say metallica will fall off first, or the band will change so much that they might as well have quit.

Both suck. I would go for Megadeath or Black Sabbath. The rest is terrible, man. How about some early Led Zeppelin? The VU? David Bowie? Siouxsie & the Banshees was great? I am going to put some on right now!
Iggy Pop & the Stooges? The Clash, Sex Pistols Live, etc. My sister liked King Diamond and if you can get past the subliminal messages about the devil, which is pure marketing, it is pretty good. She also like N.W.A. and a bunch of hardcore rap, some awful stuff, like Public Enemy, Ice-T and Two Live Crew. I did like Ice Cube, he was kind of funky.
