i'm a mac user and i'm currently using a macbook. i find it excellent. its got all the basics... what more if it is a pro. go for it! it is worth the money. no need to worry about viruses. no regrets.

if money is not an issue than the answer is yes. But you should know that you can probably get a kick **** windows laptop for that money (maybe even 2)

I'd say as long as you have good battery life, a word processor, and some type of Internet card, yes, you'd be all set.
