Windows programs don't work on Mac. Mac programs don't work on Windows. You'll need to buy or download programs for your Mac. Some iMac and iBook computers come with several good programs. For other Macs, you can buy iLife from Apple for $79 that has iMovie, iPhoto, iWeb and GarageBand. You can download iTunes for free. If you don't want to spend $150 for MS Office or $79 for Apple's iWork, you can download Open Office for free.
Web sites should be designed to indicate of they are serving Windows specific games. I don't do the gaming so I'm not much help with that. For Windows video that is served on Yahoo and other sites, you will need Flip4Mac to convert the codec to something that QuickTime can use since Microsoft decided to stop making the WMV plugin for Mac.
If you buy a second-hand Mac with an old version of Safari, download the newest version or download Firefox since the old version of Safari was pitiful about failing to load some web sites.

I've been a Mac user for 20 yrs.
There are programs for anything you wish to do.
While there are some game sites that may not work with Mac, most all sites do.
