President Carter had many enemies and he faced many issues that were new and violently dynamic. Aside from the Camp David Accord, there were many economic and environmental thresholds that he had to pioneer across. His biggest overall contribution might be to the environment, which makes sense, being that he was a farmer.

He was also awarded the Nobel Peace prize in 2002 for all his accomplishments. Too bad it was 12 years after he was out of office. Carter has been the best ex-president we ever had.

Successes? The only two I can think of are the Camp David Peace Accords with Anwar Saddat of Egypt and Menachim Began of Israel And, his giving away the Panama Canal (if you call that "success").
