t is good to know your hamster's gender so you know who you are looking after, and, if you have more than one hamster, plan for the future.
Steps
1. Pick up the hamster so you can see the stomach and genitalia. If the stomach has nipples the hamster is a girl. Sometimes it is hard to tell if your hamster has nipples.
2. Look at its genitalia. Males have testicles. It is pretty obvious to tell if it has testicles.
3. Check out the "urine holes". Males' urine holes are much farther apart while those of females are closer together.
Tips
* If at all possible, bring an experienced hamster identifier with you so won't come home with the wrong hamster for you.

Provided you can hold the hamster still long enough, it is easy to identify even a young hamster. The female genitalia is very close together (. *) < that close together, like in the parentheses. The female will also have a musky smell and/or a yellowish discharge if in heat.
Males can be felt right at the rear. If there is excessive loose skin, then it is a male. The genitalia is much further apart. The sex organ is about where a navel would be.

ok sugar smile.
you turn it over and look at the bottom of the back part
if it has an outie-not the human male type-a sack there it is a male. if not it is a female. the male male part comes out when it is mating but the sack is like where it generates the stuff to have a baby with.
if you have two males unless they are brothers and even then sometimes -they will start fighting for domination-territorial-especially (especial for short) if you put a female in there too.
if you get a prenant female-give her her own seperate cage and keep it mostly covered and quiet when she has babies or she may eat them-the will look like midge pigs-soooo cute and then they grow hair.
if you ever decide to change having hampsters-I recomend gerbils-they are more friendly if you can believe that-and rarely to never bite. But for telling their gender/sex and having babies its the same as hampsters.
dont get a ginea pig-unless you dont mind it smelling like a pig pen
and if you use cedar chips and clean the areas where the hampster messes only-it will smell nice a fresh-be carefull putting in clorephil (however you smell lol spell it) it can suffocate them if its fumes gets into enclosed spaces.
praying all will go well for you, in Jesus amazing grace, David

Are the hamsters still very young or are they older? If they are very young then you will have to wait for a little bit because it is harder to tell. If the hamsters are older, then pick them up one by one and hold in your hands on thier back. Blow slightly on thier bottoms and if it is a boy then you will be able to tell. If it is a girl then nothing will happen. This is a lot easier if the hamsters are short haired and harder to tell if they are long haired. Also, if you can see two holes then it is a girl, if you can only see the butt whole then it is a boy.

OK, this is how we sex one day old rats in my lab....it is pretty similar:
Turn the hamster over. If the "pee" opening is very close to the anus/tail, then it is a girl. If it is a good distance (like, 1-2cm or further), it should be a boy.
If you think about the way animals mate, it makes sense that it would be that way - females need their openings close to their back ends so males can reach them, and males need their ...ahems...further away so that they can reach the females.
This technique also works with mice, gerbils, and ferrets. Rabbits are a bit different.

If ur hamster is a male it should be pretty obvious. U will be able to see the little round thing under its rear end. Sorry no better way to put it lol. If one is female and one male get ready for babies or separate them before they do.
