There really are no scientific facts to back up this movie, unfortunately. It's all based off of the warming THEORY. The truth is, Global Warming may not actually exist, not in the way Al Gore and his allies suggest, anyway. There's a lot of evidence to suggest that Global Warming is actually just the upswing of the earth's natural temperature cycle which has been going on forever. In fact, many scientists actually think that global warming is caused by sunspot activity.

No because it was fiction. Whilst some people think were on the top on a roller coaster about to slide off, why cant we be at the bottom of a dip in the roller coaster. If we werent we would have rolled off to oblivion years ago. Nature is ballance and all that!

it was not real so don't worry this can't happen in real life: apperently the Earth stopped turning so everything froze up because of it and then it turns to normal as the O-zone layer breaks melting the ice and then by some miracle the Earth is alright again. i hope that helps :)

It is a great sci-fi movie.....i wud say it is the second best sci-fi movie for me...armageddon is my top.
