There are wars going on, people are divided, and foreign products dominate the American market...

But the U.S. still keeps the world's number 1. economy position.

But I want to know the detail; does the U.S. economy doing well right now?

What do you think?

If you're among the top 1% of income-earners in the nation, you're doing REALLY well right now! If you're even in the upper-middle-class of those who earn $75,000 or more per year, you're doing VERY well. If you're an average middle-class, or lower-income, earner, trying to provide for a family of four gets tougher everyday as the price for gasoline, groceries, housing, and utilities goes up and up and up. -RKO- 05/19/07

We have accrued a huge debt with the war in Iraq that was supposed to be paid for with Iraq’s oil reserve.
Jobs are up but income is down and manufacturing has been lost to China.
A dwindling filthy rich minority is concentrating wealth waging war and exporting manufacturing and importing cheap foreign labor.
Gas is up and costs of goods and services will follow.
The health of the economy as it stands is being run on deficit spending, tax cuts to the rich, wars and the military industrial complex , cuts in social programs running from Head Start and education all the way to military benefits, cheap foreign manufacturing, and cheap immigrant labor. It’s an illusion and there is going to be hell to pay. JMHO
