There are wars going on, people are divided, and foreign products dominate the American market...

But the U.S. still keeps the world's number 1. economy position.

But I want to know the detail; does the U.S. economy doing well right now?

What do you think?

Yes it is if your income is in the upper half. We have decent GDP growth, low inflation and a stock market that's finally starting to move.

However, for people in the bottom half things aren't so good. Wages are stagnant while the price of necessities like energy and food are skyrocketing.

who told you they held the number 1 position? If the world were allowed to do buisiness how they chose you would lose tons of money. Many nations would make more money dealing with EU but the last person to try changing partners was Saddam, you invaded the day after his shift. No one as of yet has tried to do it too for obvious reasons. Iran is actually building it's defenses, so it can switch trading partners, and see what happens afterwards.

The US economy and the US dollar are in HUGE trouble. "What? they didn't say that on the 'news'!"...everyone will scream. Duh!...if the economy were about to collapse (which it IS) do you really think the powers that be would broadcast it?

Wake up...turn off the TV...and do some reading from sources OUTSIDE of the corporate media!

There are very few jobs in the part of the country I live in. People have left by the Thousands just from my city alone just to find work! My family included!

Yes it is, but think how much better things would be if you were not getting robbed at the gas pumps, its always something though. If we werent getting robbed there, perhaps the IRS would think up another tax.
