got on depo for first time feb 9, was due for next shot by may 9. went to doc on may 3rd and switched to pills. Took pills starting sunday may 6. Had unprotected sex may 6-7. Stopped taking the pills since sunceay may 13. Now i have cramps, stabbing pain in breast. I took 2 preg test on monday they were negative. I took them cause i threw up on may 9th AND on monday may 14 and had been having morning nausea. I really dont feel like spending more money on preg tests. Should I be worried. Or is it normal for my period to disappear ( not even spotting) after i stopped the shot. I know it stops it for long time users but i only had one shot. so I am alarmed.

Don't worry just yet about being pregnant. First because you weren't due for another shot until the 9th, you should still be protected by the Depo.
As for the symptoms:
After starting Depo I didn't have a period, but it was right away. I was on the shot for 2 years and it took 8 months for my period to return and even then it wasn't regular. I also experienced migraines after I stopped the shot. Like you, I started on the pill after I decided to stop the shot and after a week of crazy symptoms, both physical and mental, I stopped the pills. The Depo shot takes a while to get out of your system, even if you've only taken one. I'd wait it out, keep track of all the symptoms and keep your doctor in the loop. If you doctor thinks it is something more than switching your birth control s/he will usually let you know.

After the shot stops it can take up to a year to get it back.

If you are really concerned talk to a doctor about the symptoms.

Why did you stop taking the pills after a week?
