I thought it was fantastic too, it's one of my favourites. The characters are very likeable and real and the story line was well thought out, it was great to see them interract at different ages and in different situations. Even the time travelling aspect was well done, she'd really thought about it. I bawled my eyes out over it in parts but in the end they'd had a difficult but good life together and you really felt for them. It's definitely a 10/10.

I really enjoyed that book. I read loads and tend to forget some after a while, but this one is still vivid in my mind, even though I read it over 2 years ago. I even bought it twice, when I had the chance to go to a lecture by the author, Audrey Niffenegger, and I wanted to have a signed copy!
I found that book so clever, emotional and well-thought out, the idea is so original, the way she organises the chapters and events of the characters' lives is brilliant and you never lose the thread of the story despite the jumps in time.
What a great book, I recommend it to anyone who wants to read something original.

I really enjoyed it. It was different and interesting. The love between the main characters, henry and Clare was heartwarming. It was also fascinating to see how they met up. It was fascinating to consider that if Henry had not met Clare as a child then she would not have met him whilehe was young. I was in floods of tears at the end, but there was curious consolation in knowing that he would appear to her one more time in her life. I wasn't sure what to make of it being a genetic condition, but that was the only thing I didn't really like about the book.

Yes I read a few months ago and I too loved it. It was something quite different not quite what I was expecting thoroughly enjoyed it. If you like books that have a twist to them then try "The Life of Pie"

Our book club read it two years ago, and none of us could put it down. It was one of those rare books that we all agreed on as excellent! The only other book we've ever been unanimous about was Ann Patchett's Bel Canto. (A must read).

A friend of mine recommended it to me, but when I tried to read it I couldn't even make it past the first two chapters. I just took an immediate dislike to it for some reason. Perhaps it was my state of mind when I started reading it but I don't think I'll give it another go for a long time yet. But I'm glad you liked it.

Was very interested in the other answers. I worked at an airport bookshop for several years and this book was a sort of 'surprise' bestseller, but i never got round to reading it. When i wasn't working (14 hour shifts) I read, looked after my family, nursed my mother through cancer (she died), looked after my grandmother and sister for 7 years, and JUST got time for about 4 hours a night sleep, then it would start all over again ... I also have 3 autistic children. There is a vast gap between booksellers and bookreaders and people and human beings Just try to make a little time to think about all of us.. PS: Try to observe the sheer rudeness and ignorance that booksellers put up with, and try to think about the lives that booksellers live. XXX
