How come there isn't nearly as much outrage for some one like Floyd Landis who was proved of using steroids twice,

but players like Kobe (who was found innocent of rape) and Bonds (who still has not tested positive for steriods) get so much heat.

Rafael Palmeiro and Jose Canseco also got some heat but its no where close to the hatred that players like Bonds and Kobe go thru from fans and media.

IS it just me noticing that race could be a reason why or am I just overanalyzing?

and l have to add Mohammad Ali and his crazy poems. He is still well loved, I actually cried when I saw him carry the torch at the Olympics 'cause l was so moved by him. people that do questionable things and are in the limelight get talked about, and I just heard about Floyd Landis again yesterday re the use of drugs

I didn't think Bonds was hated, though suspicion of steroids has lowered his popularity. And Kobe may or may not have committed rape (I don't find either him or his accuser very credible on this issue) but he certainly has acted crassly and without grace, on the court and off. He's just not somebody I would want to know. And still he has fans.
Professional sports unfortunately have a lot of people whose character traits are unenviable, despite their talents. But there are good people too. I haven't noticed that race is a factor.

If race is the situation, then why are gamers like Michael Jordan, Lebron, Wade, Magic, Tony Gwynn, David Ortiz, Sammy Sosa, and Tiger Woods who're as black as they are so celebrated? No Bonds and Kobe are reviled because of the fact they are arrogant pricks who think of they are greater useful than anybody else, and related to Bonds, take care of media and followers like crap. If all black gamers have been being dealt with like crap, then i'd trust you, yet they are no longer. additionally, the actuality that they are the terrific of their respective activities and are breaking archives left and top makes issues worse for them because of the fact they get the main interest.

Race has nothing to do with it. Bonds and Kobe have a rep of crying when the media. ask questions. Michael Jordan. is loved because he wants people to like him Same with Magic Johnson. the media does get involved. to much but bonds and Kobe act like we owe them something.

Why is it that when someone is just a plain jerk and Aszwhole, they immediately want say it's RACE... I can't stand EITHER Kobe OR Bonds... and it has NOTHING to do with race... I just don't like them PERSONALLY....

STOP playing the race card. This is not the reason. Maybe it is because they are obnoxious and not very good role models. Couldn't stand Bill Lambeer - he is white- it was his attitude not his color.
