i just got this laptop and i have it in my room and the wireless internet is hooked up. But i want to have a shared hardrive so that i can access files from both my laptop and anyother computer that is in my wireless network. Please help!

Well, you need to do two things. The first, to make it easier, is put the two computers on the same "Workgroup". You do that by opening the control panel, open the System application in the control panel, and make sure the Workgroup name is the same on the two machines. Then secondly, share the harddrive on the computer where you want the date shared. You accomplish this by right-clicking on the drive letter you wish to share, and selecting "Sharing and Security". Then select "Share this folder" and give it a share name. Once you've done that, open the laptop and go to Network neighborhood, or Network, find the other computer (which should be easier if they are in the same workgroup). Double-click the computer and you should see the share-name of the harddrive or folder you shared on the other computer. (After changing your workgroup name it may take up to 20 minutes to appear on the other computer do to a slow protocol called the master-browser.)
