I dunno anymore.....hollydollyme has a good answer. I think the real dream, what it all boils down to, is independence. That's what we were founded on after all.....

The American dream would probably be to over come oppression, to have a fair shot at becoming something, I think the term "living the American dream" would be to own a house and car have 2.5 kids, with a swimming pool.

I think the American Dream is to get rich. My dream is not the same as the American Dream. I just want to be comfortable and happy, and money will not always bring those things to you.

The American Dream is being free to be able to get what you want. The Nightmare occurs when you realize that the Government can take it all away if it chooses to do so.

that Democrats and republicans would quit playing politics and tackle the real issues in this country instead of lining their pockets with big business money while we strive to make ends meet.
