TRUE, because the devil you dont know will somehow slowly but surely begin to become similiar to the devil you do know. so it's 6 of one, 1/2 dozen of the other.

A lot depends on what you mean by "better"?
Do you mean which one is BETTER to fight?
or
Do you mean which one is going to inflict less pain (by the same action)?
In any case, the category of devil also needs to be understood.
For example, if you take the devil within yourself (i.e. the thoughts) then whether or not you know him the pain will be enormous. Again, you dont have to killl this devil(i.e. thoughts). You only have to control it. So here again, you will have to decide whether this devil is better than others because you dont have to kill it, but only control it(though it perhaps causes more pain than anyone else). Hmm..hard to decide, from one angle of vision devil I know is better, because I know him and I know what's on his mind but from other angle of vision sometimes it's better not to know, life is easier...
