how con i make a small working satellite?

how can i make a small working satilite out or home made stuff. i need it for an experement i am doing at my hose.

Can you be more specific?
Do you plan to send it up in orbit? (That means you need a rocket).
What functionality do you want to have it? Sputnik, the first satellite was just transmitting a single tone.
Or are you talking about making a satellite antenna or dish?
