Can't you see that every president is hated. Liberals hate Bush, Conservatives hated Clinton, and whoever is elected next will be hated by probably even more. No president is ever loved by everyone, not for a long time at least

Not even close. Possibly the most hated President during his life was Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln was vilified by almost every paper in both the North and the South prior to the 1864 election. He was opposed in that election by a popular General, George McClellan who call him an Ape and some one devoid of humanity. Lincoln was despised by the very same type of short sighted and cowardly people who "despise" President Bush.

Just possibly history will have a different verdict on George Bush just like it did on that other "failed" President A. Lincoln.

It's too early to tell. I tell you what though, even though I haven't liked some Presidents I have lived through, I give them all credit for doing the hardest job on Earth. Their decisions won't be liked by all and they receive criticism every day, I can only imagine how tough it must be.

No, the next one might ...if the war drags on without clear precise signs of an agreement between the Iraqis and the US. The next President holds the key in their hand, especially if America's attacked during their term. Bush had a lot to handle after 9/11, and I think bad decisions may be slightly forgiven in the future.

Quite possibly. Time will tell. Other presidents who weren't popular were Anderew Jackson, John Tyler, Andrew Johnson, and Harry Truman. Jackson and Truman have gained in popularity where Tyler and Johnson are about the same.

He had a chance to have a great place in history for the security he has worked towards for most of the world.

But he will go down now as the one who sold out America to the Mexicans.

The senate will vote on cloture for s. 1348 on Monday unless you stop it before then. Educate yourselves and act today. Tuesday will be too late!

Well for the next 25 years or so , then like Richard Nixon, after revisionist history has taken place he'll be looked at as flawed.

Probably one of the most dumb presidents there's ever been in the US.
