Green Day kicks linkin parks @ss!! Okay i like linkin parks music and everything but green day has been around longer, they have better vocals, and have more original songs (they don't sound remotely the same). So Green Day wins, end of story.=)

Each band has it's pros and cons. Linkin Park is more hard rock band and appeals to a certain group of people. Same with Green Day. They are a more rebellious group and others will fancy this group more. So, it's hard to tell, because anyone who answers will probably be biased.

depends on which era of the band you're talking about. like, if you're comparing meteora to american idiot, then linkin park hands down. however, if you're comparing linkin park's new album to some of green day's classic stuff, then the choice is harder to make. i'd still go with linkin park because that's my personal taste, but the choice does depend on circumstances.
