I have not been able to get readings because the kit is not with me (my sis took it for her fish)

I just did a 50% water change. Any help?
I read here that it might be Ichthyophtirius?

That is NOT ich! Period. Your fish have columnaris. It's a bacterial infection that looks much like a fungus. Have your brother get an antibiotic. The best choice is Furanace, but Flagyl or Maracyn TC would also work. Treat as directed for 10 days.

Hope this helps and best of luck with your fish. Feel free to email me if you have further questions.

its not ich, ich grows in small sugar like dots all over the fish. its a type of fungus that infects your fishes scales and makes them sick. go out and but either a fungus clearer (petsmart, etc.) or you could buy aquarium salt thats made for fresh water tanks, it will help to get rid of the fungus and help prevent it. good luck! hope your fish gets better!

I agree with MM, it's definitely not ich!

Ich looks like grains of salt all over you fish.

I'm not exactly sure what it is, but MM seems to have a good idea, so listen to him...

Your fish have Ich. Not really a big deal if treated. Ant fish store,(even Walmart), have drops that will clear this up fast. Good luck.

It looks like it might be Ick. I would go to a local petstore, they'll have some medication that you put in the water to treat it. also if you have a petsmart nearby, they do free water tests if you bring in a sample of your water.

your fish has ich. go to the petstore and get the appropriate medication. You are going to have to clean your filters and pumps and all of the stuff in there. get to it right away or they will die
