I have decided that maybe I will do my history project on foods they ate while in the trenches in WW1. I was thinking that maybe I could get some of the foods and bring them into school so my class can taste them. It could go with the theme: Would you be able to eat this on a regular basis? do you think this would be a good idea? Also, did they have any problems with the food back in WW1? like did it spoil and they still have to eat it? any other problems?

The Web site listed will give you all the info you need for Britain. The 2nd website lists the things Americans. As a small child during this period I remember the sugar rationing, gas rationing. My mother and her friends complained about no more nylons. The 3rd site listed gives you the information on K Rations.
