'There but for the grace of God......."

It is such a shame that what was once a very good concept, is now a complete frame up! (pardon the pun)...
So many (90%) of the videos are set up. Let's face it, who would consider being filmed going to the toilet/washing the dishes/feeding the dog, or any other inane act? It is all done for the 'reward' the programmers give. So obvious when the 'actors' slip on a banana skin etc., you can see the stagey way they perform. 'Fraid the money is the big draw which spoils what was once a enjoyable programme...

It is one of our most primitive instincts at work in us.

The laugh is a relatively new development in human beings. It actually derived from the apes bark!

The apes developed socially to react to anything that challenged the tribe by barking. It was originally to warn other apes about what was going on, but as intelligence developed it also became an expression of disapproval.

In humans the laugh was developed as an alternative to aggressive dislike to progressive accord by the tribe laughing at weakness and difference. The two things that still undermine the tribe to this day!

Some of us can identify having been there done that and recovered safely. I've seen a few clips of "disasters" and found myself shocked and more concerned they may have seriously hurt themselves and in those cases, I can't laugh. I rationalize that if this is a TV show for entertainment purposes, the people being filmed had to sign release forms for it to be aired.

Don't it is sometimes funny to laugh when it is someone else. Makes you forget the pain in your world.

Relax and enjoy the show.

You shouldnt feel mean. Thats what those shows are there for. If people didnt want others to laugh at them then they wouldnt have sent those videos in.

Its funny cos it happens to all of us sometimes....so it makes us all human...and seeing other people making @sses out of themselves just reassures people that were not perfect and thats ok.
