Who should I choose for a home loan: Ditech or Quicken Loans?

Since I work for Quicken Loans, I guess my answer could be considered a bit one-sided, but I would definitely go with Quicken Loans :)

Seriously, I love working for Quicken Loans and it's a great company. We have a 94% customer satisfaction rate on a survey that all of our customers fill out after they close. And 9 out of 10 of our customers say they would recommend us to friends and family.

Quicken Loans is the largest online lender in the nation and we pride ourselves on our customer service. We have a saying: "every client, every time. no exceptions, no excuses"

And that's the way it really is. I remember my first day at orientation. Bill Emerson, the Quicken Loans CEO told a group of us that all phones calls must be returned the day they are received. "If you can't return calls the same day, you can't work here. It's really that simple. And it's that important to us," Bill told our group.

I don't know much about Ditech and I certainly don't want to bad mouth them. But I can tell you that Quicken Loans is doing extremely well. We just have our biggest month in the 22 year history of the company. That says a lot about the people of Quicken Loans the mortgage products we offer.

If you want more information about Quicken Loans, take a look at the link below I've included. Or better yet, ask your friends, family, coworkers (or anyone you trust) if they have ever worked with us. If they have, chances are they had a good experience.

Thanks for considering Quicken Loans. Good luck with your home loan and you can always email me through my Answers profile with any questions about Quicken Loans.

Well, think about it. HOW MUCH DOES TV/OTHER MEDIA CHARGES FOR ADVERTISING? PLUS THE EMPLOYEE SALARY? AND WHAT ARE THEY GONNA MAKE OFF YOU? OBVIOUSLY, they dont do that bec they are the nicest guys. Although those costs are tax write off for them, its your money that is going to be spend on their expenses.

My answer would be none.

Also, I would like to inform you that almost every bank has at least "THE ONE PRODUCT". For example, if one bank has the lowest rate at fixed 30 years rate, chances are that the same bank might not have the best rate for 15 years fixed rate, and another bank would have that product. THIS ALSO DEPENDS ON YOUR SITUATION, SUCH AS LTV, CREDIT SCORE, WHETHER YOUR GOING FULL DOC OR STATED. AND THIS IS WHY YOU WANT TO GO TO A LOAN BROKER THAT YOU CAN TRUST. GET 2 OR EVEN 3 GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE FROM DIFFERENT BROKERS, BUT RUN YOUR CREDIT ONCE. ITS YOUR MONEY, AND YOU WORK HARD FOR IT. DNT LET DITECH OR QUICKEN LOANS USE UR MONEY FOR THEIR ADVERTISEMENT.
"MORTGAGE BROKERS WORK WITH MANY DIFFERENT LENDERS, SO THEY KNOW WHICH BANK WOULD PROVIDE YOU THE BEST RATE FOR YOUR SENARIO"

if you have any question about your senario ask me. I can tell whether your getting a good or bad deal.

I would consider both... but also consider traditional banks. Shop around and do some leg work, it will pay off. Lending Tree .com is also worthy, but might be better for a refinance or 2nd mortgage. Bottom line, spend a little time shopping around, you will be glad you did. I put a link to a good book below you might want to check out. It's cheap and certainly cheaper than a 200K mistake.

NEITHER ! Stick with a local bank or mortgage/loan broker for your financing needs. As a real estate broker, I sometimes find my clients using such sources for financing, and they are invariably disasters with which to work. More than once I have phoned to help the client as purchase deadline draws close and have heard "Sorry, we're behind schedule...you will just have to delay your closing."

You can do just as well shopping competitively for a local loan broker.
