First, verify if the concern is hardware proper or application proper. Hook it as much as a distinctive laptop, ideally a pc (for convenience sake), and ideally a distinctive OS, which incorporate a Mac. Print a try web site from this laptop. If it prints wisely, it particularly is a application concern. If it has an identical concern as on the different laptop, it particularly is a hardware concern. If it particularly is a hardware concern, then attempt changing the two the toner and drum (if there's a drum) with style new, Lexmark factors. See if that makes a distinction. If it does not then purchase a clean printer. they are not that high priced anymore - suited now place of work Depot (and others) have a Brother HL-2140 on sale for $50. If it particularly is a application concern, then the perfect situation is to thoroughly uninstall the printer application, reboot, and reinstall the printer application from scratch.

this depends on alot of factors... mainly the type of printer (economy vs high volume printer), print settings (economy or high quality, or somewhere in between), and toner cartridge volume/cost... I've seen some HP printers, with high volume toner cartridges installed that average about $0.02 per page on plain text prints
