Can i keep older mouse babies in the cage with Newborns?
My mouse is pregnant again but her first babies are old enough to be by themselves. I have a rat and the dad in the other cage, is it alright to keep the older babies in the cage with the newborns? Pleae help, i'm freaking out.

The adult male mouse in the cage will start picking on the older male babies because they are a threat to his territory. If they are still nesting under the mother, the newborns will die or be eaten.

Wow, i can't believe the rat and the daddy mouse get alongside. Rats oftentimes beat up on mice. i'd purchase a distinctive cage. The mom would start up being mean to the older toddlers. besides, you will desire to ask this interior the puppy section. you will get extra solutions there.

No because the older ones would eat the babies. That's like returning poppa mouse in with them and letting him eat the babies.
Separate them or say bye bye mousies

by the time momma mouse gives birth, the previous litter should be at weening age and should be removed from the cage.

keeping all those males and females together in a cage is a bad idea...unless you want all those mice breeding.
