Depends on a genre, I guess... but usually 'the lyrical content' means a lot to me.

stable afternoon BC :) quite. i admire a physically powerful lyric, that's probably why i like human beings like Dire Straits / Mark Knopfler; Jethro Tull / Ian Anderson; John Martyn; Sandy Denny; etc. - this is all appropriate to the creativity, or perhaps if if or no longer i will relate to it in some way {being waiting to narrate to that's *very* significant for me}. i won't stand crap lyrics, which would be why I dislike lots present day song, and the two what could make me single-out a foul song from somebody who's many times a typical {jointly with Blackmore's night's 'Olde Mill hotel', or Stevie Nicks' 'Sister Honey'}. on celebration, there are border-line lyrics, which tip a song right into a "NO" by using being sung / phrased badly, or no longer suiting the song. additionally, i do no longer elect somebody's very own time table compelled on me in song. BQ: i'm stable at present - purely attempting to slot in some television and radio seize-up. How are you? BQ2: Nay - far desire Depeche Mode's unique. {that suggested, the only songs of his i like are the two covers...} BQ3: on condition that we count variety alcohol as a drug, regardless of the undeniable fact that I infrequently drink now, yet in my mid-previous due childrens I drank lager, pink wine, and stable cider {no, no longer unexpectedly!}, yet in no way have been given drunk.

It's 50/50. The song has to have good music as well as cool lyrics. The best lyrics in the world couldn't make up for a crappy song, and vice versa.

When I listen to a song the main thing I listen to is the lyrics and stuff. It's like I understand what is being said. And sometimes I just listen to music for the noise.

It's probably the only thing I'm concerned about. I liked the rhythm to "This Is Why I'm Hot" but the lyrics are stupid, so I hate the song for that.

It matters if it's a deep song or not. If it's a pop song like "Girlfriend", then of course, no. But slower songs, which are usually more meaningful, are the ones I pay the most attention to, and are usually the reason for why I like them.
