this has been bothering me, a old man walked by my house and i was doing yardwork. my family has always waved to him and said hi but i was too busy to look up and wave. then i felt bad cuz i have known him for so long and i just ignored him! am i bad person for doing that? or just have a guilty conscience?

You just have a guilty conscience and were too busy to look up and wave. Your ok, just be sure to smile and wave next time as to not give the wrong impression.

That doesn't make you a bad person. It means that you were busy and caught up with doing your yard work. Maybe you wanted to get done and figured you'd get done faster if you focused on the task at hand. If you feel bad you can just apologize for the way that you behaved that day. I'm sure that he most likely won't be mad about it. He probably figured that you were busy and didn't make a big deal out of it.

No--you were busy. Maybe you can go say hi to him personally ... or next time he comes around, make sure you say hi! (It's just a guilty conscience!)

No, I do not think you are a bad person. If you were embarrassed because you knew him and deliberately ignore him, then possibly the next time you see him you could go a little out of your way to say hello. He might consider that the other day you were preoccupied and you did not mean to ignore him .

your not a bad person for not waving and saying hi but your minds thinking maybe he thinks we don't like him any more next time just explain you where busy next time you see him and your consceince will be back to normal
