I noticed that when people tell me that they SWEAR TO GOD, then that means that they're lying through their teeth.

It bothers me more when people swear on other peoples lives.....

OMG, The very same thing happened to me. Once my best friend was talking about something personal and it was bothering me. I said,"I know you are lying" and she said "No i swear to god i am not lying." So i really believed whatever she was bluffing. And when i nearly cried she said,"Did you take that seriously, I was just kidding." I got real mad at her and now whenever she swears to god i don't believe her.

it doesn't really bother me because i don't believe in god. so when i say it it doesn't really affect me. but i guess if a religious person said it i'd be kind of shocked.
