By "feelings of inferiority" we mean not only inferiority feelings in the strictest sense but a whole spectrum of related traits: low self-esteem, feelings of powerlessness, depressive tendencies, defeatism, guilt, self-hatred, etc. We argue that modern leftists tend to have such feelings (possibly more or less repressed) and that these feelings are decisive in determining the direction of modern leftism.

Rather than who said it,I'd prefer to know when it was said.
what's described there is a risk of leftist thinking ,no doubt ,but not all leftist politicians or leaders fall into that trap.Think this might even very well be more of a problem with moderates than with the far left.Don't think Che or Chavez had and have this problem.
So while I'm not blind for what that quote is trying to say,it can also easily serve as a right wing tool to generalize all leftist thinking under this flag and that's wrong.
The flip side of this is that the right wing often suffers from feelings of superiority and megalomania and related feelings such as looking down on other cultures lifestyles and traditions. The President of the United states saw himself as the messiah who was going to save the middle east, the American right has absolutely no sense of taking responsibility for anything that's happened due to their actions, there is always someone else to blame,The UN,while that's very much a tool that can't function on it's own, liberals,France,Russia, anyone but themselves(again the flip side of feeling guilty too fast)
I see the dangers on my side, wish the right wasn't so blind for theirs

Sounds very much like a phony Limbaugh analysis-or savage, hannity, etc. Feelings of "inferiority" have absolutely nothing to do with liberalism, clearly. Liberals tend to sympathize with the less fortunate and Conservatives much the opposite. How feelings of inferiority fit into these concepts completely escapes me.

The feelings harboured by right-wingers are greed, selfishness, bigorty, racism, sexism, homophobia, and classism. Add to that ignorance and lack of empathy for others, and you get the feelings that are decisive in determining the direction of the right wing agenda.

There is a right and wrong.

The problem with those in the "left bracket" is that they have accepted the definition of bad politics.

Most of the right is now in the left bracket if you insist on keeping your box of feelings categorized.
