You cannot hide your computer from his network.
I would, however, advise you to just be cautious. You yourself call this act "stealing" and people have recently been trialed for stealing others wireless connections.

You can't, his machine will be logging your access, your mac address will be recorded against his dhcp. If he actually discovers this you could go to prison for it now.

but you might want to try hidemyass.com its can block your proxy server and ip or some crap.
