At one time we were all ancestors weren't we? The natives in this country we practically killed off. Wasn't this great land of America once owned by Mexico itself? So why can't they come back and work, if the American Companies aren't doing anything about it, then why are the politicians? Do you really want to see your fruits and veggies prices rise sky high?

Companies can survive without illegal immigration. They would have to pay American workers a fair living wage and they are unwilling to do so because it would cut into profit.

We don't need illegal immigrant workers. There are plenty of legal citizens in this country that need a job. The problem is that Americans are either too proud (which is a joke) or too lazy to do these remedial tasks. The abundance of homeless in this country could be remedied if they actually wanted to work and turn their lives around. I have only ever met 2 homeless persons that actually wanted to get out of the streets. The rest are all content with where they are, begging and stealing. So the jobs that are currently being done by illegal immigrants can easily be done by the homeless.

I'll grow my own vegetables if it means kicking criminal aliens out of the country. Mexico never owned the USA, but did claim part of what is now the USA before we bought it from them. Now they are invading to steal back what they sold us.
If we kicked every illegal out the price of vegetables would rise by 5% at most. The sky must not be very high where you are, and no, I am not my own ancestor as you say we all our. That is a physical impossibility in the real world. Show me your time machine and I'll admit being ones own ancestor is possible. I'll also remind you that according to the United States Constitution (ever heard of it), we are a nation of the people, by the people and for the people of the United States of America, not a nation of the companies, and companies must obey our laws, including immigration laws, or those companies will be punished and dissolved if need be.
Since I know how you love statistics, here's one for you. 95% of all outstanding murder warrants in Los Angeles are for people known to be illegal aliens. What means the most to you, a cheap head of lettuce, or your own head?
I'm 1/4 Apache. The Mexicans stole my ancestor's homeland, and now they are stealing my homeland, and the traitors in America are helping them.

1. You offer a false premise. You don't know how high the price of fruits and veggies would go. Maybe a little, maybe a lot.

2. How many legal Americans collect unemployment? Let them collect the fruits and veggies.

3. I was talking to my father this morning. One Maine town, Lewiston, has more Somali refugees that any other place in America. Assuming he is accurate, out of 4,000 refugees, 100 of the Somalis have jobs. That is a 2.5% employment rate...not an unemployment rate, an EMPLOYMENT rate.

I have no problem with immigrants coming here to work and make a better life for themselves and their families. As you've said, its part of our heritage. But if they like our country so much, it has to be done in a way that preserves the economy, integrity and security of our country.

What makes this an issue is their non-taxed income, and that of the employer, and that they do not qualify for health benefits without a social security number thus becoming a strain on the free health care system. That's why it's illegal. If they are granted visas and legally documented, we would then be able to increase the nation's tax resource, as well as provide proper health benefits via the employers who as of late contribute nothing to the welfare of their employees.

AND...What Timothy says...I say this can be accomplished by granting them citizenship and raising their wages to a higher standard. This will increase the USA's taxable income among the now non-taxed workers...Embrace the majority of good poor decent immigrants who may have been unable to afford the fees of citizenship and so crossed illegally, all to avoid the extreme poverty of some Mexican border towns. And, send back the hidden terrorists and fugitives among them.

I get tired of the the stupid native americans argument to excuse what is happening now with the worthless breeders coming from mexico.
I am part native american myself(enough to have mineral rights) and not even I use that stupid excuse.
2 wrongs dont make a right..and try living in the present while youre at it
The fact of the matter is that if all the illegals are legalized, and more come up here, we are f**ked as a country
Think about it--mexicans have a thing for popping out 6 kids each..and what do the kids become? doctors? LOL!!!! ha!
Try gangbangers, janitors, maids(hispanics have the highest drop out rate)...do we REALLY need an abundance of such people? what do u really think the end result will be?
Dont kid yourself

The amount that labor factors in to the price of produce is very, very small.. we're talking in the area of one and two cents for a head of lettuce. Over a year you might save a couple bucks.

Meanwhile, the criminal immigrants are a horrible drain on our social, education and justice systems. Over a year it's going to cost you a few hundred bucks.

Further, criminal immigration has seriously undermined the national pay scale ( and not just in unskilled labor ), which is going to cost you hundreds or thousands more a year.

Save $2 in produce.. or $1000 in tax/pay?

Its a matter of resources and supply and demand. Allow anyone to come over forever and eventually we will be extremely overcrowded, our roadways will be jammed up, our health care systems will be over extended, and all our natural resources will be consumed. Its becoming impossible to mange and effectively govern hundreds of millions (eventually billions) of people with different values, religious backgrounds, levels of education, work ethic, loyalties, senses of morality, etc. More and more people are falling through the cracks of the system.

It is unfortunate that price is all that drives america now, quality of life, a vision for the future, and the environment are often sacraficed in order to get our consumables dirt cheap.

It is wrong because it is illegal. The phrase "Illegal Immigrant" explains exactly why it is wrong. The reason we have this law is to control our boarders from criminals and terrorists. We also want immigrants to become citizens. Illigal immigrants do not pay any taxes, yet they are given subsidies, free medical care and other benefits they put no money into.

you are wrong in so many areas of your question that it isn't even valid. America was NEVER owned by mexico and i never killed an indian. i am paying a huge amount to pay for heathcare and education for illegals that do not pay thier own taxes. i will be glad to pay extra for my veggies, it will still be cheaper then what i am paying now.
