Heck yes, Gears of War on INSANE mode, trying to get to the next checkpoint after dying 30 times and being 2 kills away from clearing the zone with no health left and 20 minutes into the firefight. You die, you start over again. Real rush!

In the case of games like DDR, yes. Otherwise games are pretty relaxing. My blood rate does go up when I hit a point that's stressing me out, then it keeps at the pace for a while after I finally complete that point.
Like they've been saying, it has a lot to do with adrenaline.

Well ,there are many reasons why it could. One of them is that adrenalyn rush you get at the most interesting point in your game. This causes your body to sweat or release energy to calm you down. The way it does this? It clearly pumps more blood through your arteries to produce more energy. This is an educated guess, and it is mainly true, because when you get off a roller coaster, you feel tired, and your heart is POUNDING. I suggest you lay off the games, because it is a definate yes.

Yes, I was actually playing GTA: Liberty City Stories the other day and got to a mission where I was trapped in this warehouse with all these guys coming at me with chainsaws. My heart bascially came out of my chest! Needless to say, I didn't complete the mission.

Yes it does, but thats no substitute for regular excersise!
When your poorly your heartrate increases by up to 50% in instances where your fighting infection so it's no suprise that any form of integrated or external stimulus can and will affect both blood pressure and heartrate.

As your coronary heart turns into extra conditioned and extra suitable (which of course it has), you will not get as lots upward push on your exercising habitual coronary heart fee as once you began. that is because of the coronary heart starting to be extra efficient and extra suitable with exercising habitual. save up what you're doing - all of us could do this.
