I think the first step is to keep a detailed record of them. My mom keeps a journal by her bed, and when she has a good dream like that, she writes it down as soon as she wakes up so she doesn't forget any details.
Then either draw or find yourself an artist who can render the pictures to your satisfaction. Once you have the basic story and a few good renderings of what it should look like, you can post it for public review, or find a company to review it in book or script form.

If you can afford it, a psychologist certified in hypnosis MAY be able to help you access that dream, and rather quickly if you remember components of it. At least call such a professional and inquire about it. Good luck. My best writing hails from my dreams. What I've had to learn to do is keep a little notebook and pen by my bed. I usually dream lucidly, that is, aware and somewhat in control of my own dreaming. So, as soon as I become interested in some dream "material", I force myself to wake up and write it down. Don't laugh, but sometimes remembering a particular piece of dream material can be as easy as tossing an extra pillow or something somewhere in the room, like by the doorway, and telling myself to remember such and such when I see the pillow in the morning. And, then, in the morning the odd presence of it there will remind me of the dream material.

Sorry Josh, but we dream for many reasons and a lot of it is to learn different ways to do things. Also, we are safer dreaming because we can do things in our dreams that would not be safe doing while awake. Enjoy your dreams! Maybe you could keep a log of your dreams and look at them later.

Become a screen-writer. Write them all down just as you see or remember them. Then become a director and a producer. Takes a mess of money to produce your own films. Waiting for a production company to pick your script and actually do anything with it takes a REALLY, REALLY long time, unless you have connections and your dreams have any market-potential.

I would just keep a note pad ready right beside you so that the second you wake up-you can take a note of it, which will help with remembering your dreams!
Hope this helps!

dreams seem fresh right when we wake up, but seem to fade quickly. I like to write them down, in as much detail as I can, right when I wake up if it is something I really want to remember. That seems to help.

Just keep a voice recorder by your bed, wake up, and describe them while still fresh.
