No because they are for entertainment, otherwise I would have found the love of my life 100 times over, been on exotic vacations many times and fell into a financial windfall many times over.

I normally don't do this because you sound like a skeptic and look how many people think it's all for fun and games~that's because they don't know enough about Astrology to even make a prediction or anything close to it themselves, or they would see that Astrology can indeed predict the outcome of certain events.
Take Eclipses for example~if you want to see something come true for yourself~you can easily find where an Eclipse is going to fall in your chart by looking at your chart wheel. Whatever house it falls in, is the house that is being 'highlighted' in your life at that time. Eclipses are known to bring about changes that need to occur in order to promote growth and often are found in the houses that have become stagnant. There are sites you can go to, and read the 'prediction' if you will or what will be happening if, say, the Pisces/Virgo Eclipse is falling in your 10th house (because Pisces would be the ruler of your 10th house)-then your career, and, or family & home(4th) house will be affected also, as it is directly across from and energy is exchanged between these two houses. Say it falls in your 1st house, which would mean that your Rising sign would be Pisces-then it would affect you personally-how the world sees you, and also the 7th/house of relationships...and changes would take place there.
But...that is for us astrologers I guess....Here is a tip: When you read your horoscopes from now on, always and forever read both horoscopes for your Sun Sign AND your Rising Sign/Ascendant. Start reading Susan Miller's monthly horoscopes at http://www.astrologyzone.com , read both horoscopes though~you'll see.....

Like I have said in numerous answers here - the horoscopes you read in newpapers, on the net or in magazines are a very generalised look at each sign. In order to really understand yourself through a horoscope you need your natal chart cast and a forecast on future aspects in your signs. These are not to see if we are going to have countless lovers or win millions of dollars but a serious look at who you are and how the planet positions affect you as a person. It is used to counter negative traits with positive ones and help you to understand what motivates you and what you are capable of. A natal chart is used to give you greater understanding so that you can shape your life in a better way. And yes, the planets affect each person differently on each different day but that doesn't mean to say we have to let it rule our lives - it is simply a way of being able to understand what the affect might be and to be aware of it.
As the person above me indicated - this section is full of skeptics who have no idea of the history or reality of Astrology and the amount of people rubbishing it indicates to me they are only here to gain points.

Astrology belongs to childish thing called "magical thinking" which we should have grown out of. As children we believed what ever our parents told us. This is a survival strategy, we don't trust our parents we can get injured or worse.
But we also believed in the white lies that our parents gave us. Santa Claus (he knows EVERYTHING) to get us to behave, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, and the rest. As adults we still lie to our children.
As we get older and educated, these lies make some us doubt things that lack proof. Having doubts is now better for surviving. We can question things that seem weird. There is science to test claims so we can eliminate what is false along with the lies.
Why blindly believe when it is better to know? You have knowledge at your finger tips. Conduct a search on the Net for independent test results that can validate astrology's claims. Learn then decide.

No. Horoscopes are just mainly meant for fun! Some people believe that they are bad but really they just meant for entertainment. The only person that knows the future is God!

it's not for everyone else to decide what you should or should not believe...
it's best to find out as much about it as you can, see if it fits and if so how much so...
this generally applies to a lot of things...
your beliefs are personal and no one has the right or ability to make you to believe something you don't want to...
if horoscopes seem to fit with you then maybe you should, or just read them incase they might be right...
if they don't seem to fit with you then maybe you shouldn't, or just read them incase they might be right...
if I say believed in the mystical healing properties of deep fried twinkies then that would be my personal beliefs, facts against that theory are nice but if I truely believe that deep fried twinkies are the answer to all the world's problems then it's totally up to me...

Well I am 50/50 with it. I do know that sometimes they are dead on with what's going on in my life and with my taurus guy. I also know that he is almost all the traits of his sign and I am alot of mine as well, aquarius. They can really depect who someone is and can give you a clue as to what a person is like be knowing their sign. But I guess it's more about fun.
