i'm going to 2nd (or third) the Nightwish and Lacuna Coil concepts. Heyyyy you have have been given Sentenced up there, advantageous! try Amorphis, Charon, Entwine, earlier the 1st easy, and Poisonblack. You *could* like Stratovarius and Sonata Arctica besides. i'm unsure in case you will like Rasputina, besides the undeniable fact that that's advisable to offer them a try. they are an excellent cello rock band, I purely reported them on account which you listed Apocalyptica.

Nightwish -
Nightwish is a Finnish symphonic metal band formed in 1996 in the town of Kitee. Nightwish is considered responsible for the rise in popularity of the symphonic metal genre, and the foundation of symphonic metal.
Rammstein -
Rammstein (pronounced Ram-Shtine, IPA: [ˈʁam.ʃta͡ɪn]) is a German band that incorporates elements of hard rock, industrial metal, and electronic music. The band is also widely accepted as part of the Neue Deutsche Härte-scene, alongside bands such as Oomph! and Die Krupps. Critics have also dubbed their sound as Tanz-Metall (lit. "Dance metal"). Their songs are performed almost exclusively in German. Formed in 1994, they have sold over 12 million records worldwide. Rammstein's entire catalogue is published by Universal Music Group.
Although some songs are written in German, the band has had overwhelming success outside German-speaking nations in Europe as well as in the USA, Canada, Latin America, Japan, India, Israel and Australia. With the release of the album Reise, Reise (2004), they became the most successful German-language band of all time.
The pronunciation of Rammstein is largely mistaken by most Americans including German-Americans. It does not sound like 'ram-shtine' it should sound 'rahm-shtine' or if you prefer 'rom-shtine'.

There are loads of good ideas up there, but I wanted to make another suggestion - the music genome project, Pandora. Click the link below, it's all completely free - you put in a band you like and it will play you similar music.
Hope that helps.
