It appears you are correct about the Socialist led Congress, as they have done nothing since they have been in the majority

Democratic control means nothing unless a handful of Republicans get on-board. The Senate is deadlocked and the Dems in the House don't have enough votes to overcome a veto. So how do you propose they make progress without a little cooperation from the right? The lawbreakers are not the illegal immigrants; they are the corporations illegally hiring them. If they couldn't find work and earn a living, they wouldn't be here.

You don't seem to have the whole story on this. The new Immigration Bill is the first truly bipartisan effort we've seen in a long time. It was formed by both Republicans and Democrats and Bush loves it. I don't like the bill myself, I think it's going to make things worse. But you can't isolate and blame the Dems for it this time. This time it was a concerted effort and all proponents are proud that it's a bipartisan bill.

That's their financial base, they won't alienate them by doing the lawful thing.
Since when have the laws of the USA mattered to the dems anyway?

Truth be known, Bush did support this. However, when the Republican Congress was in power, they did not.
We can thank the Dems for getting this through. Well at least they've done SOMETHING.. eh?

you're particularly out of touch right here... it is the two events combating the recent immigration invoice. Congress may be controlled by utilising Dem's, yet they nevertheless want a 60% majority... Get it? fifty one%, 60%.

Yeah, Because the republican congress did SO MUCH about it only a year ago.....
Give me a break. The republicans are fooling you idiots, yet again, by bringing up a inconsequential issue, immigration, to distract you from the fact their party hasn't done jack in the past 7 years besides try their damnest to make Bush a dictator.

Don't worry they have many more insidious and evil things planned for us, just wait.
You want an alternative Henry? Look up operation Wet Back. We can and have deported these criminals in our recent, much less technologically advanced past.
And yes Bush supports this, all those bastards in D.C. should be hung from the tree of Liberty for this outrage. This is not a partisan issue folks this is a survival of our nation issue.

a better question would be... " With a GOP majority for 6 years, why was NOTHING done to solve the illegal immigration problem? "
