How do you download or save a DVD to your computer?

Question

I want to save some DVD's to my Hp laptop but when i try to save them or burn them it keeps saying its encrypted. My laptop does have a DVD burner. Is there some type of software that i need to do this?

And when i try to copy and past a DVD it just comes up as a folder that wont allow me to view the movie.

I just wanna be able to watch my Napoleon Dynamite DVD any time and any where

You need a DVD ripping software to turn your DVDs into avi files.
I use ImTOO. You need a fast PC with loads of memory or it will take a day to do each DVD.
