I write great summaries but when it comes to the ending, I can't write at all. Does that mean I'm not really meant to write?

Not at all. Writing takes a lot of hard work and dedication, too. Many writers develop writer's block, but it doesn't mean there aren't meant to write. There are also a lot of great potential writers out there, but have no motivation to get started. So, as long as you have the drive and dedication you can produce some great work.

My suggestion to you is to force yourself to write an ending, it will be great practice. Sure, maybe it won't be the best ending, but at least you tried to push yourself to conclude. And the magical thing about writing is, you can always go back and revise. Some writers think they are locked into what they wrote and are scared to go back and revise their art. But, try it! Liberate yourself from finding the perfect ending, and experiment! Try a few different endings if possible (movies do it all the time) and maybe even ask people which one they like best.

A lot of writing is craft. Sounds like you've just identified a need to work on that aspect of it. Read and analyse the endings of your top ten writers. If you write short stories, look at short story endings, if novels - look at novel endings. A brilliant tip I learned from a writing tutor (can't remember which tutor, sorry) was that when you run out of steam that probably is the end, of the sentence, the paragraph, the chapter or the whole story. So often I've found that's true and it can be good to end too early rather than too late, leaving them wanting more, so maybe just rework the bit where you ground to a halt and make that the end. Better than feeling blocked.

You're a writer when you just can't stop thinking of great ideas and have to either write them down on paper or type them on a computer.

It's a compulsive habit. Writers love it.

Just because you can't think of an ending, doesn't mean you're not a writer. After all, you wrote something all the way up until the ending, right? It just means you're experiencing writers block.

you just need improvement when it comes on writing endings but as long as you love to write you were really meant to be a writer.

No, it doesn't mean that at all. It just means that it is more difficult for you to wrap it all up. Sometimes that is a daunting task. As with anything, practice and focus makes it easier. If you enjoy it, keep on writing! You weren't "meant" to do anything. What you are is defined by your actions. Have faith in yourself and you will go far. Good luck!
