Interesting in that like most things, I don't think there is a hard and set rule. I became really interested in Christian doctrine as a teen, not because of someone chasing after my soul (which repulsed me) but because of the quiet, reserved example of a couple of people I knew.

And yet in some things, romantic interests included, being persistant can pay off, sometimes... other times it's better to not pursue.

I suppose the biggest 'winners' in that game are those who can tell the difference.

Peace

There is an instance when that is true, Rena. When that something is actually a particular someone. In that case the Universe knows better than you do. A slight shift to ^someone like so-and-so, with such and such qualities, such and such desires, hobbies, preferences, etc. will bring to you a perfect mate as specified. No need to chase, even.

Everything else you can imagine will automatically come to you if you allow it. Allowing it means that there can be no resistance in the form of negative thoughts , emotions, sensations, or feelings. What will work every time is reaching for a state of bliss and staying there. No drugs!

God and Fate have a very wild sense of humor.

Be Careful What You Wish For; You Might Get It. Means, what you wish might really be what you needed in the first place.

If you love something, set it free. If it comes back to you, it's yours. If it doesn't, it never was.

We do not possess anything in this world, least of all other people. We only imagine that we do. Our friends, our lovers, our spouses, even our children are not ours; they belong only to themselves. Possessive and controlling friendships and relationships can be as harmful as neglect.

Absolutely.
To imply an individual is chasing someone is to imply that
someone is running away from the individual in the first place.
Furthermore, consider that the individual who does the
chasing also risks distancing themself from those friends who
aren't running.
