I've been a member of both, and they're really more nuisance than they're worth - you either get something you didn't want or don't get what you ordered, and then they start arguing the toss that you owe them money - and there's no savings because what you "save" in the cost of the goods is eaten up by their exorbitant post and packing charges. Avoid them like the plague is the best advice I can give you ! ! !

I was in a book club once, and it was too much of a hassle when they kept sending books I didn't want. Now I buy most of my books, CDs, and DVDs on eBay. They have both new and used.

I am in several-the Literary Guild, Doubleday, and Mystery Guild. They are actually the same company but offer different genres of books. For general books, Doubleday has a wider variety offered. I am homebound and unable to go to town to purchase books very often so It works well for me.
