I want to know the name of a made for tv movie, that is about something nuclear happening?

Not sure when this movie first showed on tv, but starts out with these kids watching tv, and then the tv starts getting static
and other things keep happening that is very strange, like the results of a nuclear war or explosion of some kind...their dad is not at home yet and its just the mom and the kids and they, along with the whole neighborhood don't know what is going on or what to do...and things just keep happening, very scary, and makes you wonder if something like this could really happen or not.

It's not 1983's 'The Day After', which is also excellent. The movie you're thinking of is 1983's 'Testament'. The scene you describe is when the bombs explode. The boy of the family becomes friends with an older man who has a short-wave radio and uses it to connect to the rest of the country and keep track of what's happening. This movie stars a then unknown (and young) Keven Costner as the guy trying to get his 'exposed' wife to a medical facility in Kansas. William Devane (from 2nd Bad News Bears movie/Knots Landing) plays the dad at the begining who goes to work but never shows back up. And even a very very young Lukas Haas plays the younger brother, who has an aweful fate in the movie. I actually found this at Walmart 2 years ago for under 10 bucks, so check around and maybe you can find it too. It's good to watch with 'The Day After', that came out that same year. When they aired 'The Day After' on tv the first time, they did it without commercials and with 'real-like' newscasts depicting the bomb dropping. When unknowing people tuned in, they thought this was REALLY happening! LOL! It caused a short panic in America in 1983 that lasted about 5 hours...lol 'Testement' is the better acted of the 2 though. :-)

Sounds very corresponding to the action picture Breakdown, it became no longer written by utilising Stephen King despite if it was once on television plenty. i've got not seen it in continually. there is yet another one that is comparable and you notice issues going on from the ghosts point of view yet do no longer see the ghosts, there are diverse black birds (possibly crows) in it and the main considerable guy has a daughter and a son. The final scene is an overhead shot of the city and you recognize the folk are there continually. This one i can not undergo in thoughts the call of, despite if it is in all risk your action picture. i will see if i will discover it lol. EDIT: surprising Mystmoonstruck, that became the action picture i became attempting to think of of the call of, guy i've got self belief greater suited now that became going to maintain me up all night. thank you lol. If I had to wager it is the posters action picture too.
