On the Memorial Day in my town we have a parade where people can carry the flags of veterns who have passed away. My sons and my self will carry the flags of our fathers. Grandad served in WW1 and my father served in WW2. After the parade there will be a short service in honor of all veterns and service members. Then we have a public BBQ in the park. A lot of people always show up for this and the children just love it. How many of you demcrats and liberals out there would be offended by such a pro American and good wholesome event taking place?

...and we celebrate the 4th of July here to. Firework stands open about a week before the 4th here and you can buy whatever you want. (i.e. firecrackers, bottle rockets, etc...) We can light them off inside of city limits to so how do you like that you libs and dems out there.

It's going to tick them off to no end. You'll probably get sued for some unrelated thing like, the smoke from the BBQ's adding to the myth of Global Warming, or being heartless for not thinking about the children of our enemy that threw their life away try to fight us.
ACLU, NAACP, and PETA will all take an interest, if they think they can make money, they'll be there!
In reality, there's nothing they can do, but they'll still be ticked. Go for it, and have a blast. That's what our military protects.

From a Democrat....That would be a nice ceremony. After all that is what Memorial Day is for. It looks like a nice tribute to fallen heroes of previous wars. I hope your BBQ includes ribs. I love barbequed ribs.
Some how because people are opposed to THIS war some think they are opposed to all wars. That, of course, is wrong and stupid. Considering the source of such ideas one can see how it makes sense.

Im a liberal democrat and I think that the parade that you described is a beautiful way to remember those men that died bravely to protect the world in those conflicts which could have destroyed the world completely. its great and if i lived there i would go too.
if it were not for those brave men we would be living under the Nazis now.
I am a liberal democrat and I support and want the rights given under the constituion to be protected always, and this includes the right of freedom of speech. have a nice day.

Why do Repubtards think they own patriotism, the American flag and all things red, white and blue? I love my country, but distrust my government. I am a liberal who is very patriotic. And the best way to love your country and be patriotic is to improve your country and its government. Not fall into lock-step with corrupt leaders.
Your father and grandfather fought in WWI and WWII? That is very respectable and I appreciated their service and sacrifice. But those were wars with goals and purposes. This current war is bogus and without merit. The only ones benefitting from it are Halliburton and its stockholders.

Uh....isn't that the point of Memorial Day? Are conservatives offended when I celebrate Labor Day as a day honoring the workers of the world?

It sounds like a grand gathering to me. I especially like
the waving of American flags..........reminds me of what
it was like right after 911 when almost everyone had a
flag somewhere on their car. I think Libs and Democrats
have removed theirs now.......does that answer your
