02 sensors... The function of your 02 sensor is to detect your unburned fuel so that it will relay to the engine computer to either lean or rich your fuel (called fuel curve)... If your 02 sensors is not working right or fouled up, it's no longer detect the problem. When this happens, the fuel is not being controlled by the computer (rich or lean)... Most cars, vans etc. has 2 sensors. One located before the catalictic converter / or mufflers, and the other one is after the mentioned components... If this will not solve the problem, the other could be the fuel pressure regulator... I mentioned this for one reason... Your fuel pressure regulator regulates your fuel due pressure. If it is weak you are not getting the right pressure for your fuel... Some fuel pressure are adjustable which means you can adjust it by an allen wrench (screws).Tightenig the screws gives you more pressure, while the opposite gives you less... if the pressure regulator is deffective (stucked), what do you think would happen? Next is your injectors. Depends on how old is your engine!!! Over time the injectors also give you problems... If one injector is stucked , it flows uncontrolled fuel.. If all your spark plugs are full of carbons ( I mean ALL) , it will be the 02 sensor, but if there is only one or two with so much carbon deposit, it means the injector... Last but not least is the computer itself... First thing that you do is put a fuel injector cleaner and pour it in your tank. This will clean your fuel lines and your injectors. Then do what I told you to do. Please always start with the 02 sensor first and then work your way up... Recommended fuel injector cleaner is made by CHEVRON. you can buy them at WALMART... good luck... If you need more advice, just mention it here and see what we can do for you...

in spite of the kind, if it does not have NAPTHA on the label that isn't any longer plenty stable. It is only no longer plenty extra perfect than putting some mineral spirits interior the tank. Naptha is an extremely reliable cleanser. do no longer SPILL IT on the PAINT. I constantly use a funnel to get it properly interior the tank. i understand the only stocked by using the shop away from, Chrysler, or Jeep broking has Naptha. only ensure which you do study the label previously you're taking it domicile, even those sellers have some with out the naptha. I used it approximately each 20,000 miles in my automobiles and 3 have long previous a hundred,000 miles on the unique injectors with out situation.

Well, It could be several things. Low quality gas, or maybe your van is due for a tune up (ie: plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter and sometimes an O2 sensor .) is the exhaust coming out clear or black? if it's black you could have leaking injectors or a faulty O2 sensor.

A few things will rob you of gas mileage quickly, low tire pressure, bad air filter (dirty), oil change needed, faulty fuel injectors. The list goes on and on, but like they say, take it in, anything else is like using an elephant gun to kill a misquito, it just won't work

You will need to take it in to a shop and have it checked out. It could be injectors or leaking fuel lines. Sensors, the list goes one. Without diagnosis, it is a Buck Shot approach.

You broke a plug putting it in or you put the spark plug wires on the wrong plugs. Check the wire and plug job over again.

New spark plugs and wires, THEN it started using more gas?

Maybe the wires are on the wrong spark plugs.
