I have sores on the outside of my vagina and I have experienced painful uritation and intercourse. It started over a week ago and I used Monistat 1 day Sunday night. It caused more burning and irritation but it got a little better but now the sores won't go away. I've used the external cream on them and it still has not done anything for it. I have been in a lot of pain for almost 2 weeks and I'm ready for it to stop...any suggestions...

That sounds more like herpes simplex. Are the sores white on the inside and then lined with red or pink? If so, this is a sign of herpes. Herpes is really painful and outbreaks, especially the 1st one, may last for weeks. You probably need to see a doctor to confirm this.

A yeast infection will not have sores on the outside. There is a mucous discharge that has a bad odor.

Pain full urination can be a UTI Urinary tract infection.

With sore on the outside it sounds like Genital Herpes but you DO need to go see a GYN and get diagnosed and put on an oral medication as soon as possible.

Yeast infections do not give you sores.

Sounds like you have herpes. Go to the doctor!

So much for those condom warnings.

Rather than self-medication, seek professional advice from a gyno. ! Be cautious as the affected area is pretty sensitive!

I think that you need to see a doctor! A doctor can really give u a prescription that would help you with the pains. Please don't ever scratch it, might gonna make it worst. Hope you get well soon!
