"Global warming is not really a problem," is this like "Cigarettes don't cause cancer" ??

It's a shame that this issue is so politicized, because no matter what science or position you believe, reducing carbon emissions benefits everyone.
Lowering your fossil fuel energy consumption reduces your costs and reduces carbon emissions. But if you don't believe in global warming, continue to drive that 10mpg SUV at $4.00/gal. Don't be caught dead in a 60mpg Prius, or even a 36mpg Ford Escape hybrid SUV. People might think you are a liberal. Better to go into debt to fuel up than let anyone think you bought into that global warming crap. Yes-sirree!

The cigarettes-cancer link was well known to nearly all researchers outside the tobacco companies.

However, "global warming" seems to be the pet theory of only a very few; I suggest that their motives must be examined closely. [Including Al Gore's ... who still wishes he'd been elected President -- or Czar of the World.]

There are several thousand colleges and universities in America alone. There must be tens to hundreds of departments in them with one or more researchers who have some piece of the puzzle. So why is it that the number of academics promoting the global warming is caused by humans theory who are actually in the field is only 100 at best?

I suggest that the 100 are the minority fringe and not the other way around.

There are any number of prominent researchers from institutions as varied and important as the US National Weather Service and the Russian Academy of Sciences who flatly state that the global warming hypothesis is nonsense.

Global warming is a joke. The climate is constantly changing. There an ice age, remember that. Was it caused by fossil fuels, I don't think that it was. What happened to global cooling in the 1970s. I lived through it and everybody was screaming that it would become another ice age. When the government started talking about the risks of smoking very few people believed it. The reason is that during that period of time nobody believed in what the government because they were lying about the Vietnam war.

He's right about both the cigs and global warming.
Study the history of the Earth. It went through many warmings and iceages, and there weren't factories or aerosol hairspray to cause this!!! It's a natural process.
Not to say that pollution doesn't cause damage to the environment, because it does. But it does not cause "global warming"

No they are not the same. Global warming is not necessarily a problem because there is no scientific evidence there is such a thing and if it does exist that it is caused by people or that people could reverse it.

Global warming is a widely believed theory, not a fact. Over tens of thousands of years, the world has oscillated in a wave like temperature pattern in which we are in the peak of. During the next few thousand years, the earth should begin to cool down again. Mind you that global warming is a relatively new theory (the idea was first suggested in the '70s). Global warming is theory fueled by a liberal agenda, not fact.

Global warming is a much bigger problem than cigarettes. I mean with cigarettes, you can choose not to smoke, but if other people want to destroy the environment what do we do?

It's EXACTLY the same. The repubtards will roll in their pseudo-scientists to confuse the issue, that science has not proven the cause/effect link. And it is true, there nas been no proof. But there is no proof that humands can't fly, either.
The hypothesis has not been disproven, and we know that the greenouse effect is Without the greenhouse effect, Earth's mean daytime temperature would be about -45C.
We know that the climb in mean temperature over the last hundred (or so) years is almost exactly the same as the rise in CO2 concentration. While this could be coincidential, it is very unlikely.
Atmospheric science should not be a political issue. It is scientific. On matters of science, I listen to scientific experts. For policy and social issues, politicians are good sources. But I would not go to a bakery for meat products or a butcher shop for cookies.

Man's contribution to the greenhouse gases was so small we couldn't change the climate if we tried, he maintained.

"We're all going to survive this. It's all going to be a joke in five years," he said.

A combination of misinterpreted and misguided science, media hype, and political spin had created the current hysteria and it was time to put a stop to it.

Even Al GOre does not have faith in international Warming. definite AL Gore, who stands to make billions from his area possession of the Chicago climate replace these days spent 9 million on an ocean view mansion in California. this is an identical Al Gore it quite is telling you that international warming will reason an enhance in sea point which will wipe out the coasts in our existence time.
