The shortest distance is abot 760 miles. You have to exit Austin on Route 290 to the west, then catch Highway 10 all the way to Arizona.

I'm not sure but you can do an internet search for it. Do a Map Quest search on Yahoo (Go to Yahoo Maps) Start with your address (Arizona or Austin) and then put in the address or zip code you want to end up in. It will tell you how many miles.
