Love Rock, metal, growing up love the Beatles, when disco came out loved it.....will always love the BeeGees.
Not into country, but there is some stuff that's good.
Not too much into jazz, kinda gets me a little nuts after awhile.
Ok with classical but not for too long.
When I first hear that old twangy blue grass stuff it makes me laugh and I can't stand it for too long. Although I like the stuff from the movie Oh Brother Were Art Though...(I didn't say I made sense).
I have never liked rap or that other stuff never...can't wait till that's finally dead and gone. Can't wait for music to come back again.
I think I'll always be a rock and roll girl. OHHH, almost forgot, I also love R&B.......love my girl Tina, loved Marvin, Diana in her early days, Aretha. And I will always have a place for the King. And if I don't stop this answer now I'll probably keep listing you more things.
Anyway...I've been told and do believe it that its good for a person to open themselves up to different types and styles of music.

I love so many genres of music. I love classic rock, folk from the 60s and 70s, a little classical, a little light jazz, R & B, Motown, some newer rock artists as well. I also enjoy some comtemporary Christian rock bands and artists.
The only type of music I really don't care for is rap and most hip-hop.
I don't know what I would do without music--it means a lot to me in my life and I love that my sweetheart and I like most of the same kind of music and it also means a lot to him as well. He is a fantastic guitar player and knows how to play hundreds of songs.

I like a wide variety of music really except hip hop and rap. I like music by The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Chicago, Bad Company, Heart, Martina McBride, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Charlie Daniels, Boston, all the great Motown music, BB King, Percy Sledge and many more. Music is a very important part of my life as I love it so much. My sweetheart is the same way and she has a wide variety of music that she loves too.
Note: The first thing that came to my mind as I read your question was the great song by Stevie Wonder "Signed Sealed Delivered"
