He wrote this after a rough time lately:

Casey,
Okay, maybe I'm not the most romantic man in the world. I do know this, though: I loved you the moment I first saw you and I love you now. Most importantly, I have loved you every moment in between. I don't always show it, maybe I can't, but its true. Just because I'm a prick doesn't mean I don't love you. It just means I'm a prick. You are the first thing I think about when I wake up, the last thing I think about when I go to bed, and the single most important person in the world to me all day long. I guess I should call more often. What's your phone number?
P.S. If you say 1-800-EAT-**** I'll be crushed!

I think it is a clever way to tell you that he is just him, nothing more, nothing less. I think it is also a warning that if you expect hearts and flowers, this is not the man. I think it says, I will be there for you through thick and thin, I will love you till I die...know it and be secure. Personally, I think that is far better than all the gifts, flowers, etc. in the world. IF you are a person who needs silly attention in gift forms, this one is not for you. But if you want a man that will stay with you, take care of the kids, be there, and in general, be a great husband, this is it....and he has a sense of humor..what the hell more could you want? AND, don't' get your feelings hurt when you don't get flowers on Valentines Day, Anniversaries, etc...such nonsense to begin with.

You would be the one to know if hes joking. Has your husband ever called you on that phone before? If he has plenty of times...than of course hes joking. Is it a new cell phone and maybe he forgot to write it down? Than I can see why he woulnt have it. He sounds like he loves you very much and please trust me when I say dont let a good man go because hes not romantic. There are ALOT of men like that. On the other hand...if this phone is one that you have had for a very long time and he just never calls you...theres a problem!

He made it clear that he loves you, but what is up with not knowing his own phone number? Some men and women really don't or can't show their love, I was one of them for years. It takes someone who has been that way to tell you when we love you we will show it in a number of ways, maybe not the way that person would like, but sometimes the only way we know.

I think it is very sweet and sounds as if it's from the heart. I'd at least give him credit for trying! A lot of men have trouble dealing with/showing their feelings, and some find it very hard to do orally, whereas writing it out can be easier for them to express what they're really trying to say. In this particular letter, it seems as if he is afraid you're gonna leave him and is askign for another chance......I'd prolly give it to him, depending upon the situation. Good luck!

It's honest. And touching.

Give him an "A" for effort. He doesn't sound like the kind of guy who would otherwise write love letters. This is him trying really, really hard to make things up to you after whatever difficulty you've been facing.

I don't know the whole situation but it sounds like he probably misses the way you treated him. It also sounds to me, reading between the lines that he may want his cake and eat it too. Also he probably isn't able to find anybody else that will tolerate his crap like you did. If you are doing well on your own and have been happier without him then tell him to go fly a kite.

Perhaps you have heard the phrase--actions speak louder than words. These words are what he thinks you want to hear, but what about his actions? How does he treat you? Obviously you are the only one who can decide if he is sincere. I did notice that the letter seems to be all about him. He used the word "I" 18 times. There was nothing about wanting to change or about apology or about feeling sorry for past actions. It seemed that he was saying, "since I love you, nothing else matters."

Sounds to me like whatever demons he has is consuming him. Matbe that is why he is talking with you by letter and not face-to-face in the same home. If a person is not willing to look themselves in the mirror, then problems only go away temporarily and come back stronger than ever,

I think he is telling you he loves you and he can't remember your number???
Oh when he sleeps he dreams of someone else cause he is a prick. Yes that's about all I get from the letter.
