your mind fools you because the sound of the f in "of" sounds more like a V so if you don't take a close look and actually look for the letter instead of the sound then you could miss it.... this also depends wether you are left or right brained...

I have seen this before. There are six in the paragraph and two more in the instructions but it says in the following so only 6. Most people don't see the if or of f's because they only focus on the first letter of a short word. That's how it was explained when I saw it in an email....

3,first I read the document and heard the F then I counted them just looking for the letter F
