Thanks for the link Brian. Punishing anyone is pointless and a diversion from what really needs to happen. The important thing is to stop the next generation of attrocities before they occur. The key to this is to expose what has occurred in the past and to limit the power of the executive. Liberal democracies that are elected by proportional representation have a number of political parties making up the executive and hence wide consensus has to be achieved before rushing to war. This solution can be seen to have worked as the European mainland democracies have become moderate under coalition governments whilst the UK and the U.S. and Australia have remained extremist and constantly embroiled in conflict.

Since they have not committed any crime let alone treason they should not be prosecuted.
