To all those who just labelled him a 'terrorist':
Suppose your country was invaded and your entire nation of people were deported to refugee camps. If you fought against the occupiers, what would you consider yourself, a freedom fighter, or a terrorist?
It's a no-brainer, unless you've only listened to the biased view of the middle-east situation, still pervasive in the 'western world'.
Israel is a terrorist state. The creation of the state of Israel was one of the biggest human rights disasters of the 20th century.
Yasser Arafat will long be remembered by Palestinians as a national hero.

He was the Leader of the Paletinian Liberation Organziation. He died recently. ( Maybe in the last two years). He was controversial and had been in the millitant PLO for many years. My generation would generally think of him when the word terrorist is used.
